There European Commission has allocated 40 million euros in humanitarian aid to Ukraine to face the winter. The President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen announced this on X, underlining that the funds were necessary due to the continuous bombing of Ukrainian energy infrastructure.
Of these 40 million, 5 million will be for Ukrainian refugees in Moldova, while the remaining 35 million are earmarked for humanitarian projects in Ukraine. The aid will be used to repair buildings damaged by the bombings, ensure electricity and heating, and provide shelter to those most in need.
